Monica Brown has been an independent financial advisor since 1994. She worked her way through college as an assistant to an insurance agent and financial advisor. His mentorship was monumental in her career choice. Monica earned her bachelor’s degree in education, using that background to break down complex financial concepts and explain them to clients in a way that makes them easy to understand. Monica also earned a Master of Science in Financial Services in 2003 from The American College. She holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation, as well as the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) designation. Currently she is working towards the Retirement Income Certified Professional designation. Monica is a member of the Baltimore chapter of The Society of Financial Services Professionals as well as Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS). In her spare time, Monica enjoys anything associated with the water: swimming, boating, scuba diving, and kayaking. She also participates in several triathlons per year.
